Bunk Sandwiches

Bunk Sandwiches is an empire of deliciousness based in Portland, Oregon.

One of my last projects while I still lived in Portland was to paint a huge mural at Bunk Bar on Water Avenue, just a couple of blocks down from my studio in the old John Deere factory building by the Morrison Bridge.

The mural became a huge part of Bunk Bar’s identity, setting a tone for the room and providing a backdrop for live performances by a long list of legendary musicians.

I travel back every few years to do new murals in new Bunk locations as their business grows. I’ve done murals in the Moda center (home of the Portland Trailblazers), one in Bunk’s first east coast outpost in Brooklyn, and one in the original Bunk Sandwiches location on Morrison Ave.

We just installed the latest mural in Bunk’s newest location in Bridgeport Village, just southwest of downtown Portland. I designed an official Bunk van for this one, and I hope this van materializes in real life as a catering/delivery/escape vehicle at some point in the very near future.
